Over ten weeks, we will be studying the book of Galatians, a powerful letter that reminds us that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Many people believe that being a good person is enough to get to heaven, but Galatians clearly teaches that no amount of good works or religious effort can save usāonly Jesus Christ can.
Written by the Apostle Paul around 49 A.D. to churches in the region of Galatia, this letter confronts false teachers who were adding works and obedience to the law as requirements for salvation. Paul passionately defends the true Gospel, declaring that anyone who preaches a different gospel is accursed (Galatians 1:8ā9).
Throughout this study, we will learn what the true Gospel is, why false gospels are so dangerous, and how believers are called to stand firm in the freedom and grace found in Christ alone.
