UPC Service Opportunities

Sunday Soldiers: Sunday Soldiers are one of the most important part of our community that keeps Sunday Services running smoothly. Below are several ways in which you can serve our church:

Parking Attendant - Help out on Sunday mornings by passing out street parking permits to our members for easy access to parking. Parking Attendants usually arrive at church by 10:15am.

Van Driver - Help drive the van to pick up and drop off church members that live in the dorms or apartments near the Co-Op. Drivers need to be at least 25 years old with a valid driver license. Drivers need to be at church by 9:50am to pick up the van and will drive church members back after the service.

Greeter - Be the first friendly face that members will see on Sundays as you give them a bulletin and help with the offering bags during service. Greeters usually arrive at church by 10:15am.

Setup - Come to help set up chairs and put the UPC sign up in front of the URC before services starts. Setup servers usually arrive at church by 9:40am.

Hymn Pianist - Have the talent and skills to play the piano? Help by playing the hymn for Sunday services! The hymn will be emailed to you on Friday so you can prepare for Sunday. The Hymn Pianist arrives at the usual time for service.

Hymn Vocalist - In Choir already? Or have the talent to sing? You can help out by leading the hymn on Sunday morning services. The hymn will be emailed to you on Friday so you can prepare for Sunday. Hymn Vocalist arrives at the usual time for service.

Worship Team: Do you have a passion for music and for God? We are always looking for individuals with musical talents and passion in worshipping in Spirit and Truth! Rehearsals on Saturdays from 1:30 to 3:30pm.

Stage Crew: The Stage Crew sets up and takes down microphones, instruments, equipment, signs, and lights. Help with setup at 9am and/or breakdown at 3pm.

Sound: Sound technician controls the overall live sound for worship services and records Sunday sermons.

Care Team:The UP Care Team brings sunshine to the church by nurturing the community through joyous deeds. Care Team meets once a quarter to assemble and decorate care packages for students and church leaders.

Sunday School & AWANA Teachers: UPC is dedicated to supporting the spiritual growth of all our children to ensure that they are raised in Christ with strong roots in the Bible and our spiritual community.
